For the past 3 years Steve has been the driving force for improving election integrity in the 55th District. The laws pertaining to election integrity in the Commonwealth have eroded voter trust and will eventually drive down voter turnout.

Cheating in Virginia has never been easier. A person may enter any polling location and vote, on election day, without any proof of identity or proof of residency in the Commonwealth. Same day registration voting is utterly corruptible and must be ended immediately. Many Central Virginia voters are unaware that over 950 people in Albemarle County and 920 in the City of Charlottesville voted in our 2022 election utilizing same day registration voting. These votes were tallied with functionally zero vetting. The Commonwealth has become the least secure state in the nation. We must do better.

Steve has been notified by concerned election volunteers and poll watchers that “election thieves” go through the following process to steal votes:

  1. Pick a polling location in the jurisdiction they wish to steal from.
  2. Pick an address (any address) in that jurisdiction and write it down. (Proof of residency will not be vetted/checked in any way.)
  3. Pick a name. (The name won’t be checked/vetted in any way.)
  4. Pick a random SSN. (There is roughly a 2% chance their random number will be flagged as “already a VA voter;”  in that rare case the individual can simply tell the election official that they wrote it down wrong and change one or two numbers to try again.)
  5. Now that they are a “registered voter” they may go ahead and steal a vote.
  6. Repeat at this location with a different mask on or go to one of the 100 other polling locations within a 20 mile radius.

This situation should make us all extremely uncomfortable with our election system.
